Jodi Leis

Assistant Director

Jodi joined the Benefits and Wellness Department Team in 2006, bringing over 20 years of experience to the table from the employee benefits and healthcare industry. Jodi's responsibilities primarily keep her ‘behind the scene' managing the administration and operations of the Franklin County Health Improvement Program.

She enjoys interacting with customers, employees and vendors.

Jodi's pursuits outside of her work here include performing onstage in musicals and theatrical productions.

Sonya Burley

Employee Benefits Supervisor

A corporate veteran, Sonya brings to Franklin County 20 years of Benefit Administration experience. She's worked in human resource customer service call centers, employee benefits management and as an HR trainer. She received her Master’s degree from The Keller Graduate School.

"I get excited when all the Benefits stuff employees really care about is easy for them. Employees can then focus on what they need to do to move the public and Franklin County forward".

Amanda Blake

Coordinator of Wellness & Benefits Programs

Joining the team in 2015 to oversee the ThriveOn Wellness Program, Amanda brought with her over 10 years of experience working in wellness. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Master's degree in Public Health. Amanda is passionate about helping others and enjoys coordinating programs to help members of the Franklin County Health Improvement Program achieve their wellness goals.

Darlene Jeffers

Benefits Analyst

Darlene has a large portfolio that includes work in human resources and employee benefits for several different industries. Her professional career in human resources involves 30 years in a variety of capacities and roles. She enjoys working with her customers and Franklin County employees. Darlene has a great sense of humor. "I enjoy a good laugh at least once every day even if it means laughing at my own self".

Emily Bowen

Benefits Analyst

Emily joined the Benefits and Wellness Department in January 2017, bringing an array of experience including sales, customer service, market research and human resources. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and from Penn State with a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Employee Relations. In her free time, Emily enjoys cooking, painting, hiking and traveling the world.

Samantha Taylor

Benefits Clerk

Samantha possesses over 10 years of customer service and enjoys helping others resolve their questions and concerns. She is a proud Alumnus of The Ohio State University, where she earned her Bachelor degree in Health Management. Samantha is passionate for healthcare, employee benefits and its best practices. Sam, as she has come to be known, enjoys assisting Franklin County employees to better understand the employee benefit package. Sam enjoys spending time with her family and participating in outdoor activities.

Kathy Tucker

Administrative Secretary

Kathy began working with the Benefits & Wellness Department as a temporary employee in January 2013. Her exemplary work performance and administrative knowledge soon allowed her to transition to a full-time permanent employee. She has a combined 30 years' experience working in the private and public sector. Most recently 18 years with the Department of Taxation. One of Kathy's significant responsibilities is coordinating with The Franklin County Cooperative to promote and plan Health and Wellness events. She enjoys spending time with her 6 grandchildren, gardening and crossword puzzles.
