Valerie brings over a decade of experience to her practice, holding licenses in mental health and addiction since 2007. Having lived in Columbus for the past decade, Valerie has a deep love for the community. She enjoys outdoor activities, going to the beach, Pilates, and rooting for the Buckeyes. Additionally, she actively supports organizations helping K-9 working dogs retire with their handlers.

This training highlights the power of kindness in building strong relationships and supporting mental well-being. Participants will explore the science behind gratitude, the benefits of giving, and practical ways to cultivate kindness daily—both personally and in the workplace.

Improving workplace relationships often requires understanding — and managing —underlying difficult behaviors. This training helps identify the difficult behaviors we encounter in both our personal and work lives. Participants will then learn specific guidelines for interacting and dealing with these behaviors in everyday life.

This training explores how physical activity benefits mental health, helping reduce stress, anxiety, and depression while improving sleep and focus. Participants will learn how movement impacts well-being and discover strategies to incorporate it into daily life.

Get the Best of Stress
Thursday, August 28 at 1pm
In this training, participants will get an overview of stress basics as well as practical suggestions for coping with stressful situations, like in the workplace. The concept of stress hardiness is also introduced as a focus for healthy stress management. In addition, attendees will get tools to help them dial down stress and better understand personal and organizational aspects of stress.
